At 45 minutes from Lisbon airport, perched on the top of a hill overlooking the Atlantic, you will find a paradise: the Valongo windmill.
At once, you will be struck by the peerless view over the ocean and the inland.
You will be bothered at times by the bells of goats and sheep grazing around the mill, at times by the wind. At night, you will hear the hollow sound of the ocean.
